📌 Funzpoints is leaving California — here’s what you need to know

Funzpoints Casino has announced its complete withdrawal from California, which will affect every aspect of the platform for players based within the state.
See below for a breakdown of what Funzpoints revealed in its official notice.
🚫 Purchases and premium Funzpoints are being shut down
Starting December 29, 2025, all California sweepstakes players will lose all access to purchasing any form of currency:
- They will no longer be able to buy Standard Funzpoints.
- Mail-in Premium Funzpoints requests will be rejected.
- Once transferred to the Funzwallet, existing Premium Funzpoints can no longer be moved back into Premium mode.
🎟️ Sweepstakes promotions will no longer be available
The following will also be effective December 29:
- No one in the state of California will be able to enter any Funzpoints sweepstakes promotions.
- No one in the state of California will be able to participate in the daily jackpot draw.
- The Premium mode gameplay will be fully disabled.
- Essentially, all sweepstakes-related mechanics will be shut off for California players.
💰 Balances will be locked and then expire
Funzpoints has provided a firm timeline for accessing wallets:
- On January 31, 2026, all remaining balances (standard and premium) will expire.
- All accounts will be permanently closed on that date.
- Players have until January 31, 2026, to withdraw any available funds from their FunzWallet in accordance with Funzpoints’ Terms of Service and Sweepstakes Rules.
- After that date, the account will be deactivated, and any unclaimed balance will be lost.
🗂 Data will be retained for compliance
In accordance with regulatory requirements, Funzpoints confirms that:
- Player account data will be retained.
- All retention will follow the posted Privacy Policy.
- This is standard practice for platforms operating under sweepstakes and/or financial transaction laws.
