State Access Restrictions / Dispute Resolution Update
📌 Chumba Casino Expands Restricted States and Tightens Dispute Rules
Chumba’s updated Terms and Conditions (Version 23.0) introduce clearer geographic restrictions on sweepstakes entries and a more demanding dispute resolution process before arbitration.
🚫 There are new restrictions on sweepstakes in some states.
A few new U.S. states have been added to the list, and here’s what the latest version looks like:
California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia.
If you’re in one of these states and you access Chumba Casino, you can’t use Sweeps Coins, no matter what your account status is.
⚖️ The process for resolving disputes has been expanded.
Version 23.0 adds some extra steps to the process before arbitration can start, like:
- There’s a 60-day informal dispute resolution period that’s mandatory.
- You have to give a formal Dispute Notice before filing arbitration.
- It’s got language that allows for dismissal and cost recovery if the procedures aren’t followed.
- There are specific rules that address coordinated or mass arbitration filings.
⚠️ Summary
There are now more rules about who can access sweepstakes, and it’s harder to solve any problems that arise. Players must follow a more structured, time-bound process before arbitration is permitted.
