Terms of Use Update (Version 16.0)
📌 What Changed in Chumba v16.0
Chumba just gave its Terms of Use a full-body rewrite. And a few of the changes? You’ll want to know about before your next prize claim or login.
Disputes? There’s One Way Forward
- If something goes wrong, you’re now routed straight to individual arbitration through JAMS.
- No class actions. No grouped cases. Just you and the platform.
- You can opt out — but only if you email [email protected] within 30 days of agreeing.
Malta Takes Legal Control
- Unless the arbitration clause kicks in, Maltese law is now the rulebook.
- That means any future claim is handled under Maltese jurisdiction.
Prize Redemptions Tighten Up
- Cash or gift card redemptions need to match your verified account details exactly.
- If you haven’t verified your info within 60 days, your prize might not land.
- Wins over $10,000? Expect to get them in parts.
You’ve Got 60 Days Before Coins Expire
- Sweeps Coins now expire after two months of inactivity. No login? No coins.
Arizona: Fully Locked Out
- Arizona has now joined the list of blocked states.
- Promotional Play is also restricted in Idaho, Louisiana, and New York.
- Standard Play remains off-limits in WA, MI, MT, CT, NV, and DE.
Joint Account Redemptions Come with Strings
- You can use a joint account for redemptions, but only if one of the names matches your verified identity — and both people pass the ID check.
Bought Gold Coins in a Blocked State?
- You’ll still get a refund — but it now comes with a 10% admin fee, plus any applicable bank charges.
Live Chat Is Now Actively Moderated
- If your messages cross the line — threats, spam, harassment — your account could be banned.
- In more serious cases, Chumba reserves the right to report you to the MGA.
Terms Are Now Fully Layered
- This new version runs deep: over 25 clauses, more structure, clearer definitions.
- Privacy rules, identity checks, and responsible gameplay policies are now part of the main contract.
- If Chumba gets sold? Your data and account may transfer to the new owner.
