Terms of Use Update (Version 12.0)
📌 What Changed in Stake.us v12.0
Version 12.0 quietly expands the boundaries of where you can legally play — and if you’re in one of the newly restricted states, the platform just closed its doors.
More States Now Fully Excluded
- Clause 2.1(b) has been updated to add even more U.S. states to Stake’s growing “Excluded Territories” list.
- This list already included Washington, New York, Nevada, Michigan, Kentucky, and others — but now you’ll find several new additions.
- What that means for you: if you’re physically located in any of these blocked states, you’re no longer allowed to register, log in, or play.
- Even just trying to mask your location? That’s flagged as fraud under Clause 2.2 — and can lead to a locked account, revoked rewards, or worse.
What You Can’t Do Anymore
If you’re in a newly blocked state, here’s what gets cut off:
-
Access to your account
-
Entry into any games or sweepstakes
-
Redemption of Stake Cash or other prizes
This update closes any remaining gray areas. It doesn’t matter if you’re a long-time player or just checking things out — the platform now enforces these rules at the log-in level.
Why Now?
Stake has been revising its terms steadily since 2022. This 12th update reflects ongoing shifts in state-by-state compliance. Platforms like Stake are under pressure to lock out users where sweepstakes casinos fall into legal risk zones — and this is one way they do it.
